So, I decided to blog. Of course. Reasons why I think I am not sleeping:
1. I am SO excited to (hopefully) find out what baby McGhee #2 is on Friday, if baby cooperates. I have high expectations since Big Sis cooperated for every U/S. Sigh, poor second child. I still have a couple of crafts to finish up for the gender reveal party Friday night. If you know me, you know I am not big on crafts. I love crafts in general but I am way too much of a perfectionist, so if they don't turn out perfectly I get frustrated. Jeremy and I have been tag teaming these crafts and together, I think we have done a really good job! I just love that other half of Team McGhee. I think we are truly equally excited about this baby. First go around we were more nervous than anything. Now that we kind of know what to expect and things we will do differently, we just feel nothing but joy and excitement with this baby. We know things will be crazy, but we know it will also be beautiful.
AND I KEEP FORGETTING TO TYPE THIS BUT: I have been feeling baby's tiny kicks for almost 3 weeks now!! It's still the best feeling ever. With Leighton, I didn't feel them until maybe 20 week or so and it was because of the way the placenta was growing. I am assuming these two kiddos have very different placenta placement. I guess we will find out Friday!!! I hate that word by the way; placenta. I have weird relationships with certain words.
2. The election results have me all nervous. I know, above all, God is in control and it's all a part of his master plan, but I am just so nervous about parenting my babies in a world that, currently, terrifies me. God and I have been chatting about this for the past couple of hours now. Ya'll just pray for our country without ceasing, would you please?
3. There is something else that Jeremy and I are SO excited about right now, but I cannot say what it is just yet. I know, so vague, but I promise it's good, and has Jeremy and I both SO giddy. I will post about it as soon as I can, promise!
Ok, shortest update in the history of this blog, maybe. Oh, speaking of the blog, the name will, of course, have to change once baby #2 gets here, maybe even before. Everything will change, design, name, web address. SO, if you are a reader but not a follower, you may want to follow because if not, you may not be able to find me and that would just be sad! I will, of course, post it on the Facebook wall, so if we are friends there, you are safe, but would still love for you to follow! It's time to go get ready for the day. MOPS meeting means taking Leighton to early room at MDO. The sun is already up. Blech, time change.
